It appears as though I have gone two whole months without updating.

Tonight was fun. I went out with Kelley and Michelle to see Memoirs of a Geisha for the second time but Kelley got held up by her parents and we ended up being 20 minutes late. Michelle had gotten tired of waiting on us so she went to Rio Grande where we met up with her. Did some other things... then went to Cool Beans. Had a great time there, the guy that owned it was quite possibly the nicest coffee shop owner of all time. Very attentive too but not in that "creepy Marc way" as Kelley pointed out.

Things are currently going very well in the life of Katie. I'm attending a New Year's Eve party at my cousin's house tomorrow which should be very nice. I talked to my old gymnastics couch Lance and he said they'd be able to go out so I'm not feeling as guilty about that. Though he also asked me if I ever used a webcam when I chatted online which was quite unsettling; I'll try not to think too much about that...

If I have to go to Spring Valley, which I do, I suppose things could be worse. Though don't confuse the previous statement with actual liking of SV, for rest assured, I definitely do not like that place they pass off as a school. I do, however, find it slightly less revolting this year than last. I've got better classes during which I hope to actually learn something, with people I am actually fond of! Woo. This year seems like it may be bearable, no promises though.

...now, if only the majority of the painfully idiotic student body would "disappear"...

[side note: does anyone else find the school to be absurdly loud for the most part? Louder than I would assume most other schools are, I mean, what ever happened to using your indoor voices, people?]

Well, I think I'm temporarily, if not officially, done with "back-to-school" shopping at the moment. I've got a bundle of new clothes and all the school supplies I could ever want. All I need now is a locker (preferably a top one on the second floor) and to double-check my schedule. I'm looking forward to seeing some of my school friends that I didn't see over the summer and I'm excited about seeing how my new classes with pan out but other than that I'm dreading being in the same building as the majority of the student body.

school is looming nearer and nearer. I feel like hiding.

Back to school shopping. Boo, because I have to be at the mall. Yay, because of the end result. Boo and yay, because it means I have accepted that school will definitely start soon...12 more days of freedom. meh. woo.

I ate too much. My tummy hurts.

Soo, yea...hm. I wish life were more entertaining or interesting. I'm kind of thinking I'd like to have a little "dinner party" of sorts. Flex what culinary muscles I do have. Hear this: an appetizer, a lovely vegetarian dish (I have an ab/fab vegetarian cookbook), [blueberry?] pie for dessert, and possibly [chocolate chip?] cookies to take home? Thoughts on such a get together?

I got some new shades today. woo.

I have to go to Cincinnati today to help my aunt, Beck, move some things. I'm looking forward to the car ride though. I love road trips. If you want to send some love my way give me a call. [208-4974] Try not to have too much fun without me.

This summer seems to be going well. That's all anyone really needs to know. I stay up late and wake up almost always past noon. By the way, Sash, you should come over some night soon and we can have a slumber party; I don't believe I've seen you since school let out have I? The weather has been very nice lately...not too humid and not too unbearably hot. That is all.
